About the Craftsmen

Jan Wetterstein was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, and moved to the United States in January 1994 at the age of 31 with his American wife and 2 sons. With 30 years experience installing wood floors, Jan is a highly skilled, professional craftsman who learned his trade from his father, who started his own flooring company more than 40 years ago, Wetterstein Enterprises.

Jan began his career at the age of 15. Together with his brother, they honed skills in the European tradition, the old fashioned way, passed down from their father as a specialized skilled craftsman. Father and sons worked together, a family unit, instilling in his two boys, then young men, artistry in their trade and an uncompromising work ethic.

Their accomplishments include installing flooring for Danish Royalty, 5 star hotels, and elegant Scandinavian Cruise Line Ships. The Wetterstein's were in such demand that their customers flew them all over the world to Holland, Belgium, England, Boston, and New York to install custom hardwood floors.

Now living in America, Jan brings this tutelage and labor of love to every job no matter how large or small.    For the past 7 years Jan has been training 3 men with the expertise he has has been trained with.   Our customers expect perfection & professionalism, and they will have an expert in their home who has been trained by Jan not only in flooring, but every part of the job from start to finish.

There are many great Americans Jan's has the pleasure of training, he is selective when choosing someone he wants to teach, they must be careful, clean and care about their work.   Along with his crews, Jan looks forward to pleasing all of his customers with his artistic talent. And upon request, he is capable of creating beautiful, unique, and masterful patterns in wood and other laminates. This is just one of the reasons why 99% of his business comes from referrals.
